Organization Chemen Lavi (OCL), in its mission to motivate and allow the youth of Haiti to reach their educational and career goals, has for a long time been concerned about the lack of a post-secondary school in Central Plateau. Each year thousands of young people finish their high school studies in Central Plateau and would like to have access to a post-secondary academic training that would allow them to better prepare themselves for their future through a higher education.

Within this context, working together with DigitalKap, OCL established a Student Computer Center in Central Plateau.

The established Student Computer Center would allow qualified Haitian students who live in the area to access quality education and training.

The learning center is equipped with computers and high speed Internet connection to enable students to have access to online courses as well. OCL ensures that a support staff is in place to facilitate the smooth operation of the learning center.

The objective of this project is to allow youth (ages 15 to 25) in the Central Plateau region to receive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) training, including instruction in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, computer maintenance, basic computer networking, programming, web design, and e-commerce. OCL is currently looking for funding to implement this project.
